VHF NFD 2007
Two views of the site set up on the lower field at Plum Tree Farm with
threatening skies in the background.
Because the grass was too wet to be cut the field space was severely restricted.
Electric fence encloses the un-mown grass and the stations are contained in a
thin strip.
The artic' trailer kept up nice and dry through the wet weekend if it wasn't
exactly comfortable. The kitchen featured a water boiler, sink, soldering iron
and cooker.
Mike G8NKX leading from the front.
The 6 element 6m antenna's feed SO239 feet socket failed because it had walls
machined too thin so this had to be replaced with a 3 element which is being set
up here.
Tim M0SIN with FT2000D and Heatherlite Explorer linear.
Alan G0WVU steering 2m. Speaker on the mast to help finding weak stations.
Brian G4DVS operating the Icom IC271E.
2m station located in the top end of the bottom field was too close to the house
next door to be operated at full power. Antenna is 17 element long yagi.
Simon G8ATB operating alone on 23cm.
Roger M0ROJ operating with Simon.
The 23cm station under an ugly sky.
