On 25th June 1989 4 groups of Crewe Venture Scouts accompanied by MIDCARS members set off to scale the four highest mountains in England, Scotland, Wales and Eire.

Hans Field G4XFD climbed Snowdon, Brian G4DVS Ben Nevis, Julian G0LBO Scafell Pike and Frank (?) EI6ET Carrauntuohill near Cork.
This photograph shows the summit of Snowdon.

Hans G4XFD (bottom right) wrote up the episode for the NNC company magazine.
Against expectations all 4 stations using low power 2m equipment were able to complete a QSO with each of the other 3 peaks. A good day!
