1988 Flood at Cotebrook

During 1988 a 36" high pressure water main burst in the field above Cotebrook Village Hall.
As well as flooding the church, village and blocking the A49 trunk road the water filled the Club's shack to a depth of 4 feet (just above the main sockets).

Sad HRO HRO receiver left covered in brown silt after the water subsided.

Sad HRO coils HRO receiver coil sets: 1 escaped but the others were submerged. Brian G3VGF attempted but found they were beyond recovery.

More muddy stuff A great deal of equipment, components and cable were ruined by water ingres or silt damage.
